Dennis Toh has built a diverse and evolving presence in Singapore’s theatre landscape, contributing as both an actor and a producer. His theatre journey began with community and church productions, where he rediscovered his passion for performance and developed a strong foundation in stagecraft.

As an actor, Dennis has appeared in productions such as Four Horse Road 2020 by The Theatre Practice and Changing Shift (2023) with The Etceteras, demonstrating his ability to portray grounded and emotionally nuanced characters. He was also part of Journey to Singapura (2025), a large-scale theatrical production led by acclaimed creative director Liang Wern Fook, where Dennis contributed to the ensemble cast and brought depth to the show’s cultural and historical storytelling.

In addition to acting, Dennis has taken on creative leadership roles. Through The Flux Media, he co-created and produced Catfished (2023) and produced Surviving Hope (2022), shaping both works from conceptual development to performance. His producing style balances artistic ambition with practical execution, helping independent productions achieve strong audience connection and professional polish.

Across his theatre career, Dennis continues to explore narratives rooted in human emotion, cultural identity, and contemporary social themes—bringing authenticity to the stage while supporting the growth of Singapore’s independent theatre community.

Dennis Toh has been active across screen projects ranging from short films to television dramas, bringing emotional depth and authenticity to a variety of characters.

He starred in A Bridge, a four-episode short film series commissioned by MCCY, where he portrayed Keong, a homeless man navigating hardship with quiet resilience. Dennis’ performance was noted for its sensitivity and grounded portrayal of a marginalized individual, shedding light on the realities faced by Singapore’s vulnerable communities.

In Portrait, an SG60 short film commissioned by Mapletree, Dennis played Emil, a character tasked with helping spirits capture their final photographs before leaving the world. The role allowed him to explore themes of memory, closure, and compassion, adding a gentle human touch to the film’s reflective tone.

Beyond short films, Dennis has appeared in several Mediacorp dramas, including Babies on Board, Lonely Fish, and Shero. In these series, he took on supporting roles that showcased his versatility—from authoritative figures to everyday individuals—contributing to locally produced stories that reach a wide national audience.

Through these projects, Dennis continues to deepen his screen presence, embracing roles that highlight social issues, emotional nuance, and the complexity of ordinary lives.

Dennis Toh has appeared in more than 30 commercials in Singapore, making him a familiar face across both digital and broadcast campaigns. His commercial portfolio spans major brands and public institutions, including Manulife, OCBC, Singapore Exchange (SGX), Trust Bank, KFC, Ministry of Manpower, Dester Beer, Porsche, Aviva, and Chan Brothers Travel, among many others.

Known for his versatility, Dennis has portrayed a wide range of characters—from warm, relatable everyday Singaporeans to corporate professionals and comedic personalities. His ability to adapt his performance style to different storytelling needs has made him a sought-after talent for agencies and production houses.

Across these campaigns, Dennis brings authenticity, reliability, and strong screen presence, contributing to the success of numerous brand messages in Singapore’s competitive advertising landscape.

Dennis Toh has an extensive background as an event host, spanning corporate functions, press conferences, book launches, festive events, and community programmes. Since 2006, he has hosted a wide range of high-profile engagements, including the MCYS Dinner & Dance, multiple book launches such as On a Street in Singapore and Singapore in the 60s, and press conferences including The Search for True Love and Hunt for Red Lion.

His hosting portfolio also covers numerous corporate dinners and D&D events for brands such as ASUS, Fastacash, Opto Pharm, Spectrum AV, Scoot/DFASS, SEP, HTL, and organisations in the oil & gas industry. Dennis has been regularly engaged for Christmas events, wedding showcases, and teambuilding programmes for organisations like NTUC ADM.

He has also fronted lifestyle and public community events, including the POMO Arts Fest, Sentosa Cove Holiday Market, and HPB Healthy Lifestyle activities.
