Dennis Toh 卓奕
Dennis Toh graduated from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and was among the Top 12 finalists in the well-known local Chinese talent competition “Star Search 2001,” marking his official entry into the performing arts industry. Years later, he rekindled his passion for performance through community and church theatre productions and has since remained active in both stage and screen work.
Since returning to the scene, Dennis Toh has built a strong portfolio across theatre and film, acting in numerous TV dramas, short films, and commercials. He also actively participates in student film projects from local film schools, supporting emerging creators and contributing to the growth of Singapore’s film landscape. His Mediacorp drama credits include Babies on Board, Lonely Fish, and Shero. More recent works include Portrait, an SG60 short film commissioned by Mapletree, in which he plays Emil — a character who helps spirits capture their final portrait before departing the world; and Bridge, a four-episode series commissioned by MCCY, where he portrays Keong, a homeless man, bringing depth and humanity to the struggles and dignity of marginalized individuals.
In advertising, Dennis Toh has performed in campaigns for many prominent brands and organizations, including Manulife, OCBC, Singapore Exchange (SGX), Trust Bank, KFC, Ministry of Manpower, Dester Beer, Porsche, Aviva, and Chan Brothers Travel.
In theatre, Dennis Toh co-created and co-produced the play Catfished (2023) and produced Surviving Hope (2022) through his own company, The Flux Media. He also acted in Changing Shift (2023, in collaboration with The Etceteras led by Haian and others) and Four Horse Road 2020 (produced by The Theatre Practice), showcasing his versatility across both performance and behind-the-scenes production.
Additionally, Dennis Toh has extensive hosting experience, having hosted the MCYS Dinner (2006), the On a Street in Singapore book launch (2011), The Search for True Love press conference (2015), as well as various corporate dinners and training events for ASUS, Fastacash, Spectrum AV, HPB, NTUC, and more.
In the education field, Dennis Toh teaches Mass Communication and Media Studies at multiple private universities in Singapore and conducts acting classes at Hitmaker Music Academy, where he guides and nurtures the next generation of performance talents.
卓奕,毕业于新加坡南洋理工大学,曾入围新加坡知名华语选秀节目 “才华横溢出新秀 2001” 前十二名,自此正式踏入演艺领域。多年后,他通过社区及教会舞台剧重燃对表演艺术的热忱,并持续活跃于舞台与银幕创作。
回归以来,卓奕在舞台及银幕领域积累了丰富经验,参演众多电视剧、短片及广告,并积极参与本地影视学校学生短片的拍摄,支持新晋创作者与本地影像创作发展。他曾参演多部 MediaCorp 电视剧,包括《新生》、《寂寞鱼听见》及《Shero》。近期作品还包括由 Mapletree 委托的 SG60 短片《Portrait》,他在片中饰演 Emil,一位在戏中协助灵体拍摄他们离开世界前的最后肖像的角色;以及由 MCCY 委托的四集短片《Bridge》,在其中饰演无家可归者 Keong,生动诠释社会边缘人物的挣扎与尊严。

Producer
Dennis Toh has established himself as a thoughtful and hands-on producer through his work in theatre and short-form video projects under The Flux Media. He produced Surviving Hope (2022), shaping its artistic direction and managing the production from development to performance. In Changing Shift (2023), a collaboration with The Etceteras, Dennis supported both creative and logistical aspects, strengthening his reputation as a collaborative and resourceful producer. As co-creator and co-producer of Catfished (2023), he helped develop the concept and guided the project through its full creative journey.
Beyond theatre, Dennis produces a range of short video and digital projects that highlight community stories and socially grounded themes. His work reflects a blend of artistic insight, practical execution, and a commitment to supporting local talent and meaningful storytelling.

Lecturer
Dennis Toh has built a longstanding career as an educator, having begun lecturing at the age of 32. He spent three years as a full-time lecturer at Temasek Polytechnic, where he developed a strong foundation in teaching media, communication, and performance-related modules. After his full-time tenure, Dennis transitioned into an adjunct lecturing career, teaching with several leading private institutions including MDIS, Kaplan, Curtin University (Singapore), and Shelton College.
Across these institutions, Dennis has taught a wide range of modules in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Public Relations, and Performance, bringing industry relevance and practical experience into the classroom. Known for his engaging teaching style and ability to connect with diverse cohorts of students, he combines academic rigor with real-world insights drawn from his concurrent work as an actor, producer, and media professional.
Over the years, Dennis has contributed to curriculum delivery, student mentorship, project supervision, and industry-oriented learning activities, establishing himself as a dedicated educator committed to developing the next generation of communicators and creatives.

Entrepreneur
Dennis Toh has been an active entrepreneur for more than a decade, building and managing businesses across wellness and public relations.
From 2012 to 2020, he helmed Feet Haven Reflexology, a boutique wellness brand known for its cosy ambience, quality service, and strong neighbourhood presence. Under his leadership, Feet Haven grew in reputation and became a recognised name in Singapore’s foot reflexology scene, earning media features and a loyal customer base.
In 2013, Dennis founded The Influencer Network (TIN), a PR and communications consultancy that he continues to manage today. Through TIN, he leads influencer marketing campaigns, brand collaborations, and digital communications strategies for clients across lifestyle, F&B, finance, and community sectors. His ability to blend storytelling, media insight, and digital engagement has allowed the company to stay relevant in an evolving communications landscape.
